![PREFACE TO SIXTH EDITION. In revising The Essentials of Anatomy the general outline and arrangement of the former editions have been preserved, some new matter has been added, a few small cuts have been discarded or replaced by larger ones, descriptions and statements liave been corrected to accord with recent works, and many small words have been inserted, adding to the clearness of description.
