On the base is cut a cartouche containing the prenomen of THOTHMES III, surmounted by plumes, between two uraei, wearing the crown of Lower Egypt, placed on the ^37 sign. XXVIth dynasty. Length, in. [No. 38961.] 973. Glazed steatite Scarab, faded to white, of type L 1, inscribed “ Good God, Lord of the Two Lands, Men-kheper-Ra (Thothmes III),” with a protecting winged uraeus. On the base is roughly inscribed Length, O J sic fa8l0°~) above an ankh, from which spring two uraei. fin. XIXth dynasty (?). [No. 46865.] 977. Glazed steatite Scarab, faded to grey, of type G 2. On the base is roughly cut a cartouche containing the prenomen of THOTHMES III, above the sign ^37, and beneath the symbol of “life,” from the arms of which depend two uraei, one wearing the crown of Upper Egypt, the other that of Lower Egypt. Ramesside Period (?). Length, hi. [No. 38941.] 978. Glazed steatite Scarab, faded to yellow, of type A 3. On the base is the inscription “Good God, Lord of the Two Lands, Men-kheper-Ra (Thothmes III),” ^ ( 0 above a winged scarabaeus, with two pendent uraei. XVIIIth dynasty (?). Length, in. On the base is cut a scarabaeus with the solar disk above it, and two uraei, wearing the Red Crown, springing from it; below is a transverse cartouche, containing the prenomen of Thothmes III, above the neb-s\gn.
