Rosin Oil. — Viscid, yellow, oily liq. — Sol. in ether, oils, alcohol, oil turpentine, glycerine. — Antiseptic. — Uses: Intern., veneral affections; extern., oint or liniment in skin diseases, and injection for gonorrhea; also solvent of phosphorus, salol, camphor, naphtol, carbolic acid, etc. Recommended as excipient for phosphorus. — Dose: 5—10 IT) (0.3—0.6 cc.), 4—6 t. daily, in capsules. — Extern.: 10—500/o oint. Rhamnus Frangula. Preparation: Rhamnin (Extr. Rhamni frangulae liquid) Laxative in obstinate cases of constipation. Dose: Va—1 oz, 3 dr. (15—40 cc.). — Rhamnus Purshianus, — see Cascara sagrada. Rhubarb — P. B. Due: Tonic, 8-10 grn, (O.i-O.ft grm.), lax., 10-10 grn. (0.6-1.2 grm.); purff., 20—40 grn. (1.2-2.8 grm.). - Freparationt; Ext. (D., S-6 grn. (0.2-0.4 grm.). Rubidium Iodide Merck. IVhite cryst. Sol. in water. — Alterative. — UsES; As potassium iodide. Does not derange stomach.—Dose: 1—5 grn. (0.06—0.3 grm.). Rubidium & Ammonium Bromide Merck. White, or yellowish-white, powd.; cooling; pungent, saline after-taste. — Sol. in water. — Anti-epileptic, Sedative, Hypnotic. — Uses: Epilepsy, and as soporific, instead of potassium bromide. — Dose: Anti-epilephc. 60-120 grn.
