Circa 1847. £65 Paul Meurice, in whose Autograph this Manuscript is believed to be, was a famous French Dramatic Writer who died in 1855; he, with Alexander Dumas, translated Hamlet into French as represented in the present manuscript, which was played with success at the Théatre Historique on 15th December, 1847, and at the Comedie Francaise on 28th September, 1886. Besides Hamlet, he translated several other Shakespeare pieces. The present Manuscript has evidently been used for a later eon. having numerous alterations in pencil throughout. 342 Hamlet.
