Apparatus for Collecting Blood for B.\cteriological Examination. .\t the April Meeting iMr. R. G. Hebb exhibited an apparatus for ob- taining blood for cultivation purposes. Tt is very simple, and consists merely of a piece of glass tubing and a canmda needle. The tube. M'bich holds abcmt 10 c.c., has its front conical end accurately ground so as to fit the cpAinula. The other end is constricted in two places so as to form a small bulb, which is stuffed with cotton-wool. To this end is attached a piece of rubber tubing with a glass month-piece foi' the jmrpose of e.xerting suction if necessary.
