Though not desired to make any com- ments, I hope it will not be deemed irrele- vant to offer a few remarks in answer to the Queries of the Honourable Commissioners, which I presume are proposed with the view of ascertaining, with more precision, the period most proper for performing amputa- tion in gun-shot wounds of the extremities.
