    INFLAMMATORY OR ACUTE EczEmMA, URTI- cARIA, ACNE, Etc., all require treatment di- rected especially toward the alkalinization of blood and tissues, the general flushing of the clogged emunctories and the bringing about of a systemic condition favorable to a freer and more normal metabolic activity. Salvitae is distinctly indicated in the treatment of such conditions, because of its neutralizing effect upon systemic hyperacidity, its refrigerant, diaphoretic and laxative properties, and its general eliminative action as applied to all of the normal avenues of physiologic elimination. It is also of decided value in the constitutional treatment of such conditions as herpes zoster (shingles), acne vulgaris and psoriasis. Curonic Eczema, RECURRENT URTICARIA, Erc. Every patient who suffers from chronic skin eruption, of whatever origin, but rarely obtains relief from local pruritus or irritation, unless steps are taken to relieve the systemic condition which is largely instrumental in the causation of the trouble. When Salvitae is ordered, local applications are much more likely to act satisfactorily be- cause the preparation aids in freeing the circula- | tion from the overplus of the overacid prod- ucts of destructive metabolism.
