The Hague and Rousselaer, 20th February, 1708, and 10th November, 1708. £5 5s These letters are highly interesting and of historical value. Though neither of them bears an address, their contents show that they were written to the Spanish Ambassador at the Hague, at that date Don Francisco Bernardo de Quiros. The earlier letter expresses great anxiety about an armament at Dunkirk, the reason of which was to be found out by the correspondent. In the second letter the Earl sends thanks for the honour the King of Spain has conferred upon him and assures his correspondent of his continued loyalty to the Spanish interests.
