Tobit holds out his left hand to two women, one of whom is probably his wife, who now has to work for a living because of his disability. On the far left she brings home the goat which was given to her as a gift with her wages, but which her husband believed she had stolen. The domestic argument that followed resulted in her bitterly complaining about her new situation as a working wife. Tobit repented wretchedly and went blind shortly after, apparently due to a falling sparrow's dung
