The furnishings have been carefully chosen to combine comfort with elegance, and every room has been planned to provide wide views of the grounds and surrounding country-side. [he BEE ee is important to the healing of both mind and body, and generous provision has been made to meet this need. Indoors there is a well-stocked library and large games rooms allow of general participation in all kinds of games, including billiards, snooker, darts, cards, etc. Out of doors there are all the pleasures of a beautiful sheltered garden where those guests who are unable, or disinclined, to go further afield, may rest or exercise at will. VERYTHING possible is done to make guests feel thoroughly at home, and experience has shown that the welcome which each new- comer receives from the Matron and guests alike, speedily places even the most inhibited and reserved completely at ease. Friday is the normal day for arrival and departure, and one of the most pleasant interludes, which has grown into a weekly practice, is a Thursday evening concert, which serves as a farewell and God-speed to those departing on the morrow. Many guests are pleased to take an active part in these concerts. HE grounds are particularly attractive, being as unusual as the Home itself. They comprise ten and a half acres of well-timbered land, laid out with paths, lawns, flower-gardens and secluded retreats. An orchard and extensive kitchen gardens provide the fruit and vegetables used in the Home. continued on Page 24
