![Experiments concerning the different Efficacy of pointed and blunted Rods, in fecuring Buildings againjl the Stroke of Light- rung. FROM an accident which lately happened to the chapel in Tottenham- court road, where a poor man was killed, an account of which I had rhe honour of prefbiiting to the. Royal Society, the Gentlemen*, who have the, care of that building* were defirous of erecting a proper conductor* to prevent fuch accidents ihy future ; which was done accordingly under my direction* except three points at the top* to which I rather incline to prefer a lingle one. On this occafion, I was willing to obtain the belt in¬ formation I could, upon the queftion, whether the preference be, due to points or knobs, for the ter¬ mination of conductors ; for which purpofe, I made, the. following experiments^ ! ’ ' !
