    [ *7 ] Townfhip or Place, where they (hall then be, who fliall convey them to the Hoofe for that Diftrict, there to be relieved if Sick, or unable to Work, arid employed if able to Work, til! the weekly Meeting of the Com¬ mittee, who fhaii examine and continue them in the Hofpital, Work-houfe or Houfe of Cor¬ rection, as they think proper, or relieve them and fend them forward on their lawful Oc- cafions, with a Teftimonial as hereafter men¬ tioned. That the Conftables be directed to make frequent privy Searches by Warrants from Juftices of Peace, for all Rogues, Vagabonds, fturdy Beggars, and diforderly Perfons, to take them before a Juftice of Peace, or to the weekly Committee of Directors for the Dif¬ trict, to be examined, and difmified, employ¬ ed, or punifhed, as (hall be found neceffary. If any Perfon fo examined and detained * fhall be fufpected of having committed any Felony, Robbery, or other Mifdemeanor, he may be advertifed in the moft publick Paper of that Country, with a Defcription of his Perfon and where to be feen. If any able bodied Perfon who fhaii he or¬ dered to hard Labour fhaii refufe to work, or mifbehave himfelf, he fliall be corrected by Whipping or otherwife, and after con¬ tinuing for a certain Time in inch State of Difobedience, to be committed to the County Goal; there to lie till the next A Size D or
