Description
Collegium nosocomicum Schachtianum ad diem Novembris nonum anni 1676 inchoatum. Signature of J. F. Payne inside the upper cover, and a signed note by him on the third fly-leaf: 'apparently the Hospital Case Book of Dr. Schacht. Probably Lucas Schacht who wrote a treatise on the Plague (?) published in London by Dr. Morley in 1680. He was Professor of Medicine at Leyden and gave clinical teaching in the Xenodochium or Hospital there, succeeding Sylvius. See C. L. Morley de misto epidemico 1678-9. London 1680. Perhaps notes taken by a pupil (?)'. Produced in Leyden.
