    NORTH-EASTERN COUNTIES AUDIT DISTRICT. 2, West Albert Road, Sefton Park, Liverpool, 26 th April,, i8(pj. To the Visiting Committee of Wadsley County Asylum. Gentlemen, I have to report the completion of my Audit of the Accounts of your County Asylum for the year ended the 31st March, 1896, and to inform you I have certified the same appear to be correct and your Expenditure legal. I desire to point out that the System upon which, at present, the several Provisions, Necessaries and Clothing Books are kept cannot be regarded as altogether satisfactory and suggest the desirability of these Books of Account being kept in future more in accordance with that generally known as the “ The Workhouse System of Accounts ” now in operation to a considerable extent at Wakefield County Asylum. At my Audits the advisability of such a change being made was brought under the notice of your Clerk and Steward, and it will be with pleasure I shall hear that your Committee have resolved to give the suggested new system a trial.
