Venet. appresso Vincenzo Vaugris (Valgrist), 1545 *.* First ITALIAN EDITION of Holbein’s cuts of the Dance of Death, said by Douce to be the best copies of Holbein’s designs. The printer in his preface asserts that these cuts are finer than the originals. No copy appears to have occurred for sale by auction for many years. 292 Dance of Death. [Holbein, etc.|.
