In consequence of the results of an accident I was reluctantly compelled to reisgn the post of Hon. Medical Officer and the services of a competent paid Medical Officer have been secured. ])ay Nurseries have not been re-started. A Creche for Mothers who went out to work for the day was started some years ago, but though doing good work fell through for want of support. School Clinics (Medical) under the Bexhill Education Committee are in full operation, and have materially increased ihe scliool attendance. Tuberculosis.—A Dispensary under the administration of the East Sussex County Council holds a weekly session in London Load. Efforts are being made to increase the control over contacts. The advisability of starting' a Care Committee for investi- gating condition of Tuberculosis Cases and granting assistance where necessary has received attention. Such Committee wouifl have to raise its own funds. Ckxkrkal Disease.—The V.D. Clinic at Hastings is now opcMied in the New Building, and is probably the most <'om))](d,(dy cainipped l)iiilding of its size in the country. Dui'ing 1923 the number of cases was the same as in 1922 thongli the total attendances showed a small decrease.
