(6) A full-dress Naval Button taken from Captain Cook’s uniform, and a Tusk from the necklace of a South Sea Islander brought from Polynesia by Captain Cook. (7) Part of one of Captain Cook’s printed Charts, mutilated remains of Commissions, Table of Logarithms belonging to Captain Cook, book-plate of Admiral Smyth (one of Cook’s officers), two early French Maps found amongst Cook’s papers, two books, one presented by Cook’s widow, the other with a copy of the Register of his birth, and photographs (11) of several of the above relics. (8) A small occasional folding teak table about the size of a card table when open, with straight taper legs and club-shaped feet. This table formed part of the cabin furniture of Captain J. Cook during all three of his voyages. It is very heavy for its size, and has on one side (when folded) several bolt holes apparently for securing it to the cabin wall when necessary.
