    TOWN HALL, LOWESTOFT. To the Chairman and Members of the Education Committee. Gentlemen, I beg to thank you for appointing me as your School Medical Officer, and have much pleasure in presenting my first Annual Report made out on the lines laid down by the Board of Education. The report is so extensive that it is impossible to single out particular points for comment in a short preface. The various details will be found under their respective headings. The standard height and weight of British children, at various ages, are those collected by the Anthropometrical Committee of the British Association. I am indebted to Dr. D. W. Boswell for his assistance in carrying out the Medical Inspections and to the Committee for allowing me clerical assistance, thus enabling me to prepare this report.
