![took our leave to return to our lodgings, for again the feaáfing had lasted the whole of the day, but this time ending with the fall of darkness. On the follow¬ ing day, Friday the 17th of October the Great Khanum, his Highness’s chief wife gave her feaáf, and she sent to invite us to be present thereto, the entertainment taking place in a fine Enclosure with many rich tents that was her possession. The guests were numerous, all the Ambassadors come from foreign countries had received invitation, as also the lords and ladies of the court and an immense concourse of folk privileged to attend. The Enclosure where we were now being assembled was beset with many rich tents, the outer walls of the Enclosure being made of white cloth with coloured insets, also bands and lettering and lacings of diverse designs. That day as soon as we reached the camp coming from our lodgings we were taken in charge by certain great lords who were the kinsmen of his Highness, and they now brought us into that Enclosure, giving us seats in a tent that ¿food near the entrance gate. This tent had walls of crimson tapeáfry, with insets of white embroidery laid to its cloth, both without and within. We were forthwith accommodated with a place here inside the tent, and they next brought us meat and wine to serve our wants in due abundance. As soon as we had dined the Great Khanum imme¬ diately sent word that we were to be taken and forth¬ with shown over all her tents that were in that En¬ closure and these all were of richeáf make. Among the reáf there was one that was very large and lofty and of the kind that is supported [on poles and] had no guy-ropes, the same being covered outside with a cloth of red silk very beautiful to see. Further it was adorned with rows of silver gilt spangles running from the top to the bottom of the walls.
