![immediately exclaimed that this was the part from whence his pain proceeded. Previous to the prefent attack the patient had never been fubject toany complaint of a fimilar kind, but had enjoyed in all re- {pects a good fhare of health. I immedi- ately removed the hard pile in the way above recommended; after which the pain very quickly abated. No hemorrhage en- fued, nor were any other dreflings em- dage. Within a fortnight he was per- fectly cured, and returned to his bufinefs.
