Four of the formal samples of milk were reported as being not genuine. In three cases a warning was given and in the remaining case there was a successful prosecution. Of the samples of milk taken none were found to contain preservative. (e) Chemical and Bacteriological Examination of Food. There are no laboratories in the Borough undertaking examinations of food. Samples for chemical analysis are sent to Southern Counties Laboratories, Old Library House, Bournemouth; while bacteriological examinations are carried out at— (1) The Clinical Research Association, Watergate House, London.
