Heart looping in chick embryo

Light micrograph of the heart tube at looping stage in a chick embryo. The heart starts to develop as a linear tube but around HH12 (Hamburger and Hamiliton classification of chick development) the heart tube loops to the right to initaite the formation of the four chambers.
