    Hampton Arban District Council. ANNUAL REPORT OF THE MEDICAL OFFICER OF HEALTH For the Year ending December 31st, 1925. Gentlemen, I have the honour to present my Thirteenth Annual Report on the general health and conditions of the district for the year ending December 31st, 1925. Included in this Report are details of the progress made in the district since the beginning of 1921. NATURAL AND SOCIAL CONDITIONS OF THE DISTRICT. Area.—The Urban District of Hampton includes the ecclesiastical parishes of Hampton with Hampton Court, and Hampton Hill. The total area being 2,044 acres, of which 62 acres are covered with water. The area of Hampton district in Bushy Park being 550 acres. Population.—Census, 1921 10,677. Estimated, 1925 (R.G.) 10,920. Physical Features and General Character of the Area.—Mainly a flat district with gravel subsoil, which is a good natural drainage for the surface soil. Although in the Thames Valley the district stands on comparatively high ground, the level of the Thames water being many feet below ground level of the main district. The land in the western part is mainly used for horti culture, and this forms one of the staple industries of the
