The oldest of those vohiclos was intended as reserve in tho event of hroakdown or accident but the increased j)opulation and the larger volume of refuse to bo colloctcd, nocessibated its regular use throughout the year. This situation v/ill be eased when an additional 35 cu.yd, , Shclvoke and Drowry Pakama.tio vehicle is delivurcd this summer. Tho agx-esment by which the Corporation may tip double th.. quantity tipped by this Council, remains in force until March, I967. Most of the trade refuse came from factories within the Borough and this refuse, when delivered to thv.- tip, is disposed of at 7s.6d., p^r load. The Drott B.T.D. Crawl^-r Tractor which is four years old, continued to give excellent service. During the year, the Council considered the facilities available at Coronation Road Depot and the Engini^cr and Surveyor v'as instructed to prepare a scheme for the reconstimetion of the building, and for the provision of improved maintenanco ccjuipiuent and '.velfa.rc facilities for employees.
