Vaughan, Principal of the “Pennsylvania Institution for the Instruction of the 31ind,5? for the members of the Convention to visit that Institution. On motion of Dr. R. S. Kissam, of N. Y., this, and all other invi- ations extended to the Convention, were ordered to be acknowledged md accepted by the Secretaries. Dr. J. Bell, Chairman of the Committee appointed by the Con- tention of 1846, to prepare a code of Medical Ethics, read the intro- luction to the report presented yesterday, which was, on motion, irdered to be printed.—[See Document D.] The report of the Committee appointed by the last Convention, to :onsider Dr. Bartles’ Resolution, in regard to the union of teaching md licensing, was now called for. Dr. McNaughton, of Albany, Chairman of the Committee, presented and read a minority report.— See Document F.] The majority report was presented by Dr. Isaac ^arrish, of Philadelphia.—[See Document G.] On motion of Dr. Reese, of N. Y.,both reports were received and >rdered to be printed. Dr. A. B. Shipman, of N. Y., presented the following which was idopted. Resolved, that Dr. Thomas Spencer, of Geneva, N. Y., accident- illy wTith us on a tour for the restoration of his health, be invited to it with us as a member of this Association; to participate in the lebates, but not to vote. Dr. J. H. Griscom, of N. Y., Chairman of the Committee appointed o prepare a “Nomenclature of Diseases,” presented and read the eport of his committee; which was received and ordered to be printed. -[See Document I.] The following order was proposed by Dr. J. V. C. Smith, of Bos- on, and on motion of Dr. Watson, laid upon the table for the pre- :ent. Ordered, That a committee be appointed by the Chair to select a dace for the National Medical Convention to hold a session in 1848. Dr. Couper, of Delaware, moved that the report of the Committee >n Preliminary Education, be now taken up.—[See Document C.] rhis motion prevailed, and the report having been again read, the esolutions accompanying it, were declared to be under consideration.
