The best argument in its favour is its settled popularity : indeed, it has met with such acceptance, that a few formulas connected with it have passed into general use. They are as follows :— I. Pommade Camphree.—Camphorated Pomatum. Adipis Recentis, giij. 31]. Pul vis Campliorse, gj. nq. Families who have no grated Camphor are directed to substitute for it two ounces of Spirit of Camphor, allow- ing the alcohol to evaporate before using the pomade. II. Camphor Cerate. Adipis Recentis, §x. Cer® Flavse, 5iij. Pulv. Camphor®, §iij nv S. A. III. Vinaigre-Camphre.—Camphor Vinegar. Pul vis Camphor®, sj. Aceti Destillati, Sxxxij. Mix. Equal in importance, and more frequently prescribed, is the cooling lotion, met with as “Ear Sedative (Raspail).” This is of three strengths: IV.-(«.) Eau Forte.—Strong Sedative Water. Liquor Ammoni®, giiiss. Spirit. Camphor®, 3iij- Bay Salt, sj- ,\j- Aqu® Destillat®, 3xxxij.
