![Indeed, in another place, he feems to Intimate a contrary opinion, when, In palliation of the latitude Solano took in his inferences from the cafes he had met with, he refers it to the judgment of the judicious and unprejudiced,*c whether the 1 temperate diet, regular courfe of life, and 4 excellent climate [of Spain] where So- * lano pradtifed, might not contribute to 4 render difeafes more fimple, and their 1 crifes more regular, than they are found * under the contrary circumftances’, But whoever will be at the trouble of perufing his chapter on crifes, in which are con¬ tained feveral excellent obfervations, will, I apprehend, difcover, notwithftanding this curfory remark on Solano, that the former quotation contained Dr. Niheil’s fettled opinion, and that this opinion is, in general, the true one.
