Special Classes are held in the Hospital for Students preparing for the Examinations of the Universities of London, Oxford, and Cambridge, and other higher examinations. Clinical Lectures—Medicine, Surgery, and Midwifery. Lying-in Charity—Number of Cases attended annually, about 2,800. Diseases of Women—24 Beds. Ophthalmic Cases—86 Beds. Museum of Anatomy, Pathology, and Comparative Anatomy—contains 11,000 specimens, 4,590 drawings and diagrams, an unique collection of Anatomical Models, and a series of GOO Models of Skin Diseases. Appointments.—The House-Surgeons and House-Physicians, the Obstetric Residents, Clinical Assistants and Dressers, are selected from the Students, according to merit and without payment. There are also a large number of Junior Appointments, every part of the Hospital practice being systematically employed for instruction. Entrance Scholarships.—Two Open Scholarships, of One Hundred Pounds and Fifty Pounds, in i Classics, Mathematics, and Modern Languages. Two Open Scholarships, of One Hundred and Fifty Pounds i and Sixty Pounds, in Chemistry, Physics, Botany, and Zoology. Prizes are awarded to Students in their various years, amounting in the aggregate to more than £480. A Dental School is attached to the Hospital, which affords to Students all the instruction required for a licence in Dental Surgery. The Residential College accommodates about Fifty Students. Several of the Lecturers have vacancies for Resident Private Pupilp. Fees.—A Perpetual Ticket may be obtained:—(1) By the payment of One Hundred and Fifty Pounds on entrance. (2) By two payments of £75 10s., at the commencement of the first Winter Session and the following Summer Session. (3) By the payment of three annual instalments, at the commencement of the Ses- sional Year:—First Year, 50 Guineas; Second Year, 60 Guineas; Third Year, 30 Guineas; Fourth Year, 20 Guineas.
