![PILULA SCAMMONII COMPOSITA. Compound Scammony Pill. Take of Resin of Scammony .] Resin of Jalap . . > of eacli. 1 ounce Curd Soap, in powder . J Strono Tincture of Ginp-er . . 1 fluid ounce Rectified Spirit . . . .2 fluid ounces - Add the spirit and tincture to the soap and resins, and dis- solve with the aid of a gentle heat; then evaporate the spirit hj the heat of a water-bath until the mass has acqiiired a suitable consistence for forming pills. Dose.—5 to 15 grains. PULVIS ELATEKII COMPOSITUS. Compound Powder of Elaterium. Take of Elaterium . . . . . .10 grains Sugar of Milk 90 grains Rub them together in a mortar until they are reduced to fine powder and intimately mixed. Dose.—I grain to 5 grains.
