(Mackenzie.) an examination. To this fixture may be attached the Tobold apparatus, or it may be used with the forehead-mirror, using the Mackenzie condenser, Fig. 8, or even the simple gas jet. Examination of the Larynx. If a fixed apparatus such as Tobold’s is to be used in mak- ing a laryngeal examination, the patient should be seated with the lamp on his right side, and on a level with his mouth; the cylinder of the laryngoscope being directed toward the observer.
