![[8 ] In 1636, JEtius Cletus, of Signia in Italy's publilhed his Treatife De Morbo flrangula* torio (m). He mentions fome Facfts relating to it, that had efcaped Sgambatus and Corte- Jins, which will be taken notice of hereafter. Marcus Aurelius Severinus> Profeftbr of Anatomy and Surgery, and Phyfician to the Hof'pital of Incurables at Naples, wrote a Difiertation upon this Difeafe, under the Title of Paedancbone Loi modes, feu de pejlilente ac prafocante Pueros AbJccJJu 3 and annexed it to the fecond Edition of his Book De recon- dita Abfcejfuiun Natura, which was printed in 1643 (#)• From a Perfon of his Capacity, and furnifhed with the bed Opportunities of feeing the Difeafe in every Stage and Condi¬ tion, we might reafonably have expedted fuch Obfervations as would enable one to form a juft Idea of thisDiftemper 5 but we meet with little of this kind in his Performance.
