    4' BY H. WEEKES, R.A. (1807—1877.) Ordered hy the College, 1856. Born at Edinburgh, 1774. Studied at the Universitj of Edinburgh, and became Licentiate of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh, 1799. Lectured on Anatomy at the Gt. Windmill Street School, and became a Member of the Eoyal College of Surgeons in London on the 3rd April, 1812, when he was immediately appointed Surgeon to Middlesex Hospital. In 1815, as soon as the news reached London of the Battle of Waterloo, he left for the scene of the battle, to assist in attending the wounded. He was Professor of Anatomy, Physiology, and Surgery at the Eoyal College of Surgeons of England, 1824-1827 and 1831 ; Member of the Council, 1830-1835, when he resigned on being appointed Professor of Surgery at the University of Edinburgh. Died, 28th April, 1842. Bust. PLASTER CAST. Presented hy Mr. Grindall, ird May, 1853.
