It appears that, while 46 per cent, of those cases in which ulceration was absent applied at the Hospital within a year after the commencement of their ailments, not more than 47 per cent, of those in which ulceration existed sought relief during the same period. From this fact it is, I think, fair to infer that the patients suffered about equally under both circumstances, and that the symptoms were not ma- terially aggravated by the presence of ulceration of the os uteri.
