See Catalogue of Javanese MSS. vox 21cm... pp. 8d. 1, pp. 1-18 (In margin): History of Shahmulana Ishak [=Shaikh Maulana Ishak] & his son Radenpaccoo [=Raden Paku]. The title heading Zhe account of Rasooloolah [=Rasulu-’llah] (or Mahommed) of Madinah, which is put at the beginning, properly refers only to the genealogical descent (which follows immediately afterwards) of the Shaikh’s son, Soonan Rattoo [=Sunan Ratu] of Girry Cadattoon [=Giri Kédaton]. The work then proceeds: “Shahmolannah Kashak resided in the Island or City called Passee [= Pasé ?], and how could he get a son at Girry Cadattoon. Shahmolannah Eashak forsook his Habitation and travelled through the ngan]|, and went on a Goonnoong [=gunung] (or Mountain) where he kept his fasting and offering his prayers to God to make him a Holy astrologer and experienced in the Mahom- med religion.—The Rajah [=Raja] of Balangbangan had a handsome Daughter she fell sick her father sent for many Doocoon [=dukun] (or Docters) and Noojoom [=nujum] (or Astrologers) to give her recovery, her sickness more increased, her father was much uneasy in mind for her.” Ends (p. 17): “The Pangaran |=Pangeran] of Bentarah [=Bintara] made war with his Rammah [=ramal], (or Father) the King (or Pra- bhoobrawidjayah [=Prabu Brawijaya]) of Majahpait [= Maja- pahit], the Pangaran asked the Soonnan Rattoo, his assistance. Soonnan Rattoo took a Kulum [=kalam] (or Pen) and offered his prayers to God When the pen changed itself into a fine holy Dagger this Dagger was called Kulummoojung [=kalam- unyéng], and offered it to the Pangaran, the Soonnan Rattoo took some dry Scools [=sékul] (or Rice) and fryed them they changed into a great number of Tawvons[=tawon|] (or Wasps). When the Wasps attacked the Moosooh [=musuh] (or Enemies) and bit them and the holy Dagger Kulummoojung attacked itself and killed a great number of the Enemies. When the Pangaran of Bentarah conquered his father, the Praboobrawidjayah of Majahpait, the Publicans of Girry Cadattoon called the Soonnan Rattoo, Wally Oolah [= Wali- u-’llah], (Wally, is meaning holy) (Oolah, fasting in prayers).
