At the general quarter feflions of the peace held at Laneajler in and for the faid county palatine of Laneajler, the 15th day of July in the feventeenth year of king George the third's reign ; whereas, it appears to this court on the reprefentation of the keeper of the gaol or the caftle of Laneajler, that feveral prifoners in his cuftody, being members of the Church of England and having no lawful excufe, make a common practice of abfenting themfelves from divine fervice performed in the faid gaol, and mi/behaving them- felves during fervice, It is therefore ordered by this court, that if any prifoner or prifoners confined in the faid caftle '(except Roman Catholics and Quakers) and having no lawful excufe, fnall abfent him her or themfelves, from attending divine fervice within the faid caftle, or lhall in any way milbehave, fuch prifoner or prifoners fhall immediately be deprived of the county allowance until further orders to the contiary. And it is further ordered, that the treafurer of the faid county ftock, (hall immediately upon receiving a complaint from the faid keeper againft any prifoner or prifoners to ftrike his her or their name or names out of his books, and to forbear to pay fuch prifoner or prifoners any more money until further order.
