![Site of Ulcer. Character of Ulcer. Condition of Neighbor- ing Glands. Subsequent Symptoms. Treatment and Result. In the upper cul-de- sac, near the equator, and extending almost to the cornea. Large ulcer covered with grayish exuda- tion. Base indu- rated; and this indu- ration extends all around the cornea. Cornea clear. Pre-auricu- lar and sub- maxillary glands hard and painful. Mucous patches two months later. Proto- iodide. Cal- omel lo- cally. Healed. UNPUBLISHED CASES. Site of Ulcer. Character of Ulcer. Condition of Neighbor- ing Glands. Subsequent Symptoms. Treatment and rvesuit. Lower eyelid, right eye. At the outer third; from the mar- gin spreading onto the conjunctiva. Had chronic blepha- ritis. Oval, shallow ulcer, 3 x 5 mm. Edges sharp and regular; floor with yellowish tieons, uase indu- rated. Conjunctiva injected. Lid only slightly swollen. -i Roseola, mucous ] patches, g 1 a 111.1 Lllcir engorge- ment, etc. Salve of the yellow ox- ide of mer- cury. Healed with a small linear scar. Left lower lid at the inner half. On the margin, but spreading more upon the conjunctiva than upon the skin. A characteristic in- durated sore about 5 mm. in diameter. Preauricu- lar glands swollen. Secondary anu leinary. Later, apha- sia and hemiplegia (cerebral gumma;. Mercury and iodide. Right eye, on the lid border near the inner angle, spreading onto the conjunctiva. Ulcer with thick and indurated edges. Conjunctiva injected. x i e au i mil- iar and sub- maxillary glands swol- len. Mercurial. Healed. Ulcer on the con- junctival surface near the lid border. Pre-auricu- lar and sub- maxillary glands en- Roseola, etc. Iritis. Mercurial. Healed. On the margin of the upper lid, at the inner canthus. Preauricu- lar and sub- maxillary glands greatly swollen. Roseola. Mercurial. Healed. Conjunctival surface of the left upper lid. Large ulcer about 15 mm. in diameter projecting like a fungus. Edges and base indurated. Pre-auricu- lar and sub- maxillary glands swol- len. Roseola. Inunctions. Healed. Right upper eyelid, on the conjunctival surface. Indurated ulcer. Lid intensely swollen as from beginning purulent ophthalmia. Painful and difficult to evert. P re-auricu- lar gland swollen. Secondary: Roseola, Sore-throat, etc. About same as above. Indurated ulcer. Lid swollen, etc. Preauricu- lar gland swollen. Secondary. Left lower lid on the conjunctival surface near the margin. Small indurated sore. Later increased much in size.
