Seamen taken from wrecked vessels under the wrecked soa- United States flag, if sick or disabled, are entitled to benefits of the Marine-Hospital Service, and will be fur- nished care and treatment without reference to the length of time for which they have been employed. 151. Destitute American seamen returned to the United seameu sent by States from foreign ports by United States consular offi-ontftie^ cers, if sick or disabled at the time of their arrival in a port of the United States, shall be entitled to the benefits of the Marine-Hospital Service. 152- A sick or disabled seaman, in order to obtain the soamon must benefits of the Marine-Hospital vService, must apply to a for medical officer of that Service, or, in the absence of such officer, then to the proper customs officer acting as the agent of the Marine-Hospital Service, or to the acting assistant surgeon, if such an officer be in charge of the station, and must furnish satisfactory evidence that he is entitled to relief under the Regulations. 153.
