    .222. Bills for the care and treatment of sick and dis-joas^^ abled persons attached to vessels of the Coast and Geo- detic Survey, admitted to hospital under the provisions cyiar no. <j, kci,. of paragraph 218 of the Regulations governing the Marine-Hospital Service, will be certified by the medical officer in duplicate, one copy delivered to the collector of customs and the other forwarded to this office. 223. Collectors of customs will notify the commanding officer of the vessel, upon whose request the seaman was admitted, of the amount of the bill, and when paid will render their receipt. The money will be deposited as a repayment to the marine-hospital fund, in the manner provided for moneys received for the care of foreign seamen. *
