Delusions of identity [i.e. does patient mistake those around him for his friends and associates before he entered hospital, or does he imagine they are famous or legendary persons?]. Does he appreciate his surroundings, or does he imagine himself else- where than he actually is ? Does he invest the acts of those around him with a Secondary or Symbolic meaning ? Does he describe actions he has performed, in themselves not im- possible or improhahle, which, however, did not actually occur ? [e.a. when in bed with alcoholic paralysis, does he describe the walk he took in the morning, the people he met, etc. P] Coherence or Incoherence of Ideas. Delusions of Suspicion.—Continuous or only in attacks. Delusions of Persecution.—Action of unseen agencies, etc. (especially at night). Delusions of Grandeur.—Eiches, Power, Bodily Strength.
