It will be ob- served that in the last tbree weeks we bad no deaths; this I think is partly owing to our own improved treatment, partly of the mildness of the epidemic. Those few who have been taken from the hospital to the river side, were such castes, who prefer to die on the banks of the Ganges; they tried first the cure, and when they saw no change in a few hours, they took them away to die according to their rites. Doctor Halleur intends to publish a statistic table of our reports, which must be very interesting.
