I, i The exceptionally fine summer was the cause of high attendances . at the two swimming baths open to the public and the peak loads of 1 bathers experienced led to difficulties in the control of the purity of the water, the department being called into advise on several occasions. Both pools are provided with modern continuous filtering and chlorinating plant. Eleven samples of swimming bath water were submitted to chemical and nine samples to bacteriological examination during various checks li and examinations during the year. Ill FACTORIES.
