Madrid, Francisco Nieto, 1648. £2 2s Gregorio Lopez was supposed to have been of noble lineage, and as a boy served as a Court page. Disliking the life and wishing to lead that of a recluse, he escaped to Mexico about 1563 and lived there for thirty-three years in solitude and sanctity. Earty Mexican IMPRINT. His whereabouts was traced and he was taken to Madrid and made a Court page. Later he managed to go to Mexico, where he lived the life of a recluse, dying in 1596. [454] LOZANO (Pedro).
