About this work

Description

"This zine was created with the intention of calling on queers to join the national Boycott, Divestment, & Sanctions movement in opposition to Israeli settler colonialism, occupation, and apartheid. This call to action rises in the face of the violent US- & Israeli-led pinkwashing campaign that has persuaded queers to normalize, try to "both sides", remain silent about, or otherwise become complicit to ongoing ethnic cleansing and genocide of Palestinians. Not only is this response by (overwhelmingly white) queers unconscionable but it actively diminishes our power as an oppressed collective working toward anti-colonial liberation. This zine can be used as a tool to disrupt silence and passive Zionism in queer spaces. Queer Palestinian, Arab, Muslim, MENA, SWANA, & BIPOC communities deserve anti-Zionist queer spaces. This zine includes the Liberatory Demand from Queers in Palestine as well as handles for queer voices committed to uplifting Palestine, national efforts, voices in Gaza, and Gaza awareness resources. It also includes links to guidance from the BDS movement. The zine is a single sheet 8-pager, meaning that it can be folded from 1 sheet of paper to save resources and be turned into a mini zine with a front, back, and 6 internal pages. It is also adaptable to printing in black & white. The download bundle includes instructions on how to print and fold the zine.
