One rea.son is to be found in the number of children dying quickly after birth, where a medical man has not been in attendance. A few are due to cases in remote localities, where doctors cannot be summoned in time. . I beg to enclose the usual Schedules, and to thank those members of the Council wh) have lendered me useful assistance at various times in the year.
