    6. This illustrates an episode in Rousseau's Confession and represents a love scene between Rousseau and Madan de Warens. A round mirror on the back wall reflects tl figure of the lady. 7. An episode from Nouvette Heloise, representing S Preux and Heloise, with the inscription: * I feel you ar a thousand times more dear to me than ever. 0 my charmin Mistress! my Wife! my Sister! my Friend! By what nam shall I express what I feel? ' George Morland, in association with Ward and J. E Smith, also supplied illustrations to obscene books. Tb following five excellent mezzotints were for Memoirs of < Woman of Pleasure. 1. Fanny Hill and Phoebe. Phoebe touching Fanny in ai indecent manner. 2. Mrs. Brown, the Horse Grenadier and Fanny Hill Fanny watching through a glass door a love scene between the stout Mrs. Brown and a soldier. 3. Fanny Hill, Louisa and the Nosegay Boy. Youth and two prostitutes. Basket of flowers and rod. 4. Harriet ravish'd in the summer-house. 5. Harriet and the Barronet (sic). A couple on a settee, with two other couples watching them. Another obscene mezzotint, drawn by Morland and etched by William Ward, illustrates a scene in Courtney Melmoth's The Pupil of Pleasure. It represents Harriet stroking Sedley's cheek with her right hand, while drawing him to herself in an indecent manner with her left. The obscene mezzotint 1 Emily Palmer, afterwards Countess de Barre and Mr. de C was probably also Morland's work. It probably illustrates a scene from an interesting English book that appeared in London in 1771: The Authentic Memoirs of the Countess de Barre, the French King's Mistress.
