A joint scheme of hospital provision for.treatment of Smallpox was proposed by the Kent County Council and accepted ■ Rochester Corporation and other Local Authorities in 1943* ] During 1944, as a temporary arrangement, Capel Hospital, Tonbr was adapted for this purpose and is now available and can admi some 20 smallpox cases. Admissions are to be made by appliesr tion to the County Medical officer. Dt. William's Hospital. The ot. It was not possible to proceed with the project on account of the shortage of materials and labour, and the provision of more cubicle accommodation has been deferred untl building conditions have improved.
