![Potassii Tartras, gr. xxx—gr. ccxl (2 to 16 grm.) Solubility—Water, i in i. Generally dispensed as a powder in bulk with directions for the dose to be taken in water. Incompatibles. Mineral Acids, Acetic Acid. . - : Potassii Tartras Acidus, gr. xx—gr. Ix (12 to 40 dgm.) Solubility—Water, i in 200. Given in powders (Pulvis Jalapse Compositus, gr. XX—gr. Ix), lozenges (Trochiscus Sulphuris) and confections (Confectio Sulphuris, gr. Ix—gr. cxx). Pruni Virginianae Cortex. Ordered in mixtures (Syrupus Pruni Virginianae, 3ss—3j Tinctura Pruni Virginianae, 3ss— Pulsatilla. Given in mixtures (Tinctura Pulsatillae, B.P.C., l^j—1TV.V or more). Pyrethri Radix. The tincture is used as an application, and when diluted, as a mouth wash (Tinctura Pyrethri). Quassiae Lignum. Administered in mixtures, which may also contain preparations of iron (Infusum Quassiae, gss—5]; Liquor ■Quassiae Concentratus, 5ss—3j; Tinctura Quassiae, ,3ss— Quillaiae Cortex.
