    Glossary Until 1955, coined names for pesticides were approved by an Interdepartmental Committee on Pest Control consisting of repre- sentatives of the U. 8. Departments of Agriculture, Interior, Army, Navy, Air Force, and Health, Education, and Welfare. Approval for coined names is now within the jurisdiction of the American Standards Association Sectional Committee on Common Names for Pest Control Chemicals, K62. The National Agricultural Chemicals Association, 1145 19th Street, NW., Washington, D. C., publishes lists of coined names as they are approved.
