Notes

Offset lithograph
"The artists were leaders of "Celebratory Arts for Primary Health Care", an association of artists who worked in alliance with health practitioners, schools, and members of communities to promote positive health. This set of posters formed one element in a programme of work on the heart, blood, and circulation carried out by Celebratory Arts for Primary Health Care in Gateshead, Tyne and Wear in 1993, commissioned by MIke Whitw for Gateshead MBC Libraries and Arts, Gateshead FHSA, with support from the Kings Fund. These two artists created individual posters separately as listed. Both the words and images for these posters were created by the artists named, except for the words "Too maby cooks..." which were created by Mary Burdis in an art workshop led by CAPHC. The offset litho posters were printed by John Good Holbrook Ltd, Coventry, and sponsored by Merk, Sharpe & Dohme Ltd. The screen printed posters were hand printed by the artists. A 1994 calendar featuring all 12 poster designs was developed and produced in conjunction with Merck Sharpe & Dohme Ltd, who distributed copies around the UK."--John Angus, 2017
