![C8) HOSPITALS (PUBLIC AND VOLUNTARY). , INFECTIOUS DISEASES HOSPITALS. There are two Infectious Diseases Hospitals, one in the North am! one in the South of the County, ami, in addition, I'^j'lwyswrw Ilos])ital is retained for the reception of cases of small-pox. The Infectious Diseases Hosjatal in the North at Glandovan is for evacuee children, whilst the South Hospital at Begelly caters for the ordinary population. GENERAL HOSPITALS. W'ar conditions and Increased population have to some e.xtent strained the re.sources of the Hosintals, but the permanent staff, ably aided by Civil Nursing Reserve and Volunteer Nurses, have carried out their duties most elbciently. There are now three Red Cross Auxiliary Hospitals in the County, Scolton, Ffynone and Pentre. Annexes have been opened in Fishguard, at Manor House, and at Woodlands, Tenby. All three Public Assistance Hospitals, Haveifordwest, Narberth and Woodbine, have been greatly Improved. Woodbine Hospital, Pembroke, has now a well-equipped Maternity Ward, X-Ray Plant and an Operating Theatre. TUBERCULOSIS HOSPITALS. The treatment of Tuberculosis is carried out in Pembrokeshire, as thrtnighout Wales, by the King Edward VI1. W’elsh National Memorial ,\ssociation. The Association provides and maintains two Hospitals in the County—Sealyhaiu Hospital, 30 beds, 15 males and 15 females ; and Kensington Hospital, St. Brides, mainly for surgical tuberculosis in children, with 110 beds. MATERNITY HOSPITAL ACCOMMODATION. The under-mentioned Hospitals have maternity accommodation : Priory Mount Hospital H beds Woodbine House Hospital 8 beds County Hospital 6 beds Tenby Cottage Hospital 1 bed Total 26 beds LOCAL GOVERNMENT ACT, 1929. Public Assistance Institutions. BOARDED-OUT CHILDREN. 7 children are boarded-out with Fister Parents, and their welfare is supervised by District nurses every 3 months.
